St Peter’s Church
Deene & Deenethorpe Parishes – War Memorials
This Church (which was founded in 1060 CE) covers the two Parishes of Deene and Deenethorpe - and possesses three Rolls of Honour – consisting of one metal plate and two printed lists. Two of the Rolls of Honour record men (and women) who fought, survived, and/or died serving during the World War I or the “Great War” (1914-1918) – whilst the other records a similar list pertaining to those who served in World War II (1939-1945):
