 Easton On The Hill War Memorials & All Saints Church
Rolls of Honour

This stone, octagonal structure (comprised of four rising base-layers and an elongated stone-cross) is situated at a cross-roads in the centre of the village – placed immediately adjacent to the High Street - which runs at right-angles to Church Street. All Saints Church is situated about half a mile away - up the hill on Church Street. This Memorial pays tribute to the Armed Forces of Great Britain which fought in WWI (1914-1918) and WWII (1939-1945). There are eight sections in two-parts – with each section consisting of an upper stone-engraving (inscription) – and a lower metal-plate containing an embossed inscription – unless otherwise stated. The panels are read in a counter-clockwise direction – starting with the main panel immediately facing the sign for the “High Street”:

A WWII (1939-1945) Roll of Honour is affixed to the South Wall of All Saints Church - situated in Easton-on-the-Hill – about half a mile up the hill from the official War Memorial. This document lists men (and womeb) who fought against Nazi Germany and Imperial Japan – many of whom survived – some of whom were killed in action:
